Collection: MOON TIME

Most tribal traditions include ceremonial adornments for both men and women, usually worn for that sole purpose. Those objects often have a higher meaning in the context of ritual. Since I have always been fascinated by traditions of people who have been existing in symbiosis with nature, and who celebrated different stages of human transformation, I’d like to explore the contemporary approach to ornamentation during the process of MOON TIME through my designs.

The female moon cycle has been a taboo in western societies for many centuries. Even though today it is approached with a clinical care, it is celebrated neither by women nor society in general. I would like these pieces to represent and support the sacred time of the month, the time when she goes inward, connects to her intuition and recognizes the synchronized movement of the celestial objects. This natural process makes her more in tune with a deeper intelligence within, and raises the human consciousness overall. She creates her own ceremony with love, care, gratitude, respect and ornamentation every month. She celebrates the feminine aspect of her existence together with her masculine, maintaining the balance of healthy existence.
